Celebrating European languages

Optima once again held its annual celebration of the European Day of Languages on Friday 25th September. Participants on the day took part in free language tasters and sampled food and drink from Spain, France and Germany. The event was supported by the Mayor of Newark, Mrs Crowe, her Consort, Mr Robert Crowe, local business people and several staff from John Hunt Primary School.

After the French language taster both the Mayor and her consort demonstrated their love of learning languages by staying on for another session – this time for a German language taster delivered by Jo Small.
