Optima visits twin at Leistungsschau business exhibition
This year Emmendingen is host to the Leistungsschau business exhibition. Optima will be attending the event to promote our online English training programmes and build links between the schools of the town and Newark.
Did you know that Newark’s twin town is Emmendingen in the South of Germany? The towns have a very strong twinning relationship and aim to further develop links between businesses, communities and schools.
This year Emmendingen is host to an innovative business exhibition – Leistungsschau. It involves local and regional businesses and will be taking over most of the town on the 16th and 17th June. Jo Small, our Education Director, will be attending the event to promote Optima’s online English training programmes.
Optima are really moving forward with our online delivery and we recently started using an e-learning platform to supplement the already popular Skype provision. An improved resource area will be launched later this year that will provide Optima clients with a much better learning experience.
Jo is also a keen supporter of the Newark Twinning Association and will be spending part of her time supporting its work to help further promote links between schools in Newark and Emmendingen.
The exhibition will be officially opened by the Mayor, Stefan Schlatterer, at 1 o’clock and visitors will be able to visit the various businesses until 8 o’clock in the evening. In addition to the exhibition there is a large entertainment and interactive area for the whole family as well an entertainments programme.
