Optima Wins Community Commitment Award

Optima Training (UK) Limited took home the award for Business Commitment to the Community at the Newark Business Awards 2009 this November.

Rea Gill, Jo Small and Mark Small at the Newark Business Awards 2009

Optima’s nomination was largely due to the work of Education Director, Jo Small, contributing time to language projects at the Grove School in Newark, her commitment to the promotion of language learning in the local area and work with young offenders.

Nick Hewer, famed for his appearances and candour as Sir Alan Sugar’s right hand man on the television show The Apprentice, entertained the guests with his stories from behind the scenes of filming the next series before answering questions and giving his views on some of the challenges facing small businesses in the current economic climate

But the state of the economy was forgotten for one night as the wine flowed, and Optima celebrated its success

We would like to thank all of the judges for their decision, and look forward to another year of working with the children at Grove School
