Team Training
Training for teams that work better together

Team training at Optima focuses on how teams communicate, collaborate and make decisions together. It’s not about superficial team-building activities.
It’s training that helps people work more clearly and effectively together – grounded in real work and designed to strengthen everyday collaboration.
Why team training matters
Teams rarely struggle because people don’t care. More often, the challenge is how people work together:
- Unclear expectations
- Repeated misunderstandings
- Meetings without clear outcomes
- Uneven ownership and accountability
- Teams working hard but not fully aligned
Team training helps create shared language and practical ways of working.
Our approach to team training

Practical by design. We work with real team dynamics and real challenges, not artificial exercises.
Participation over presentation. Teams learn by talking, reflecting and working through situations together.
Built for the real world. Every team is different. Programmes are shaped around how your team actually works.
How we design learning
Short videos or self-directed resources may be used to introduce ideas ahead of sessions.
This allows live time – online or face-to-face – to focus on conversation, reflection and practice.
What team training feels like
Structured, practical and human. Teams are encouraged to talk openly, listen properly and explore differences in ways that strengthen understanding rather than create tension.
People typically leave with:
- Clearer expectations and communication
- Practical tools for collaboration
- Stronger understanding of working styles
- Greater confidence in team conversations
- Clearer agreements about how the team works
Who this training is for
- Established teams wanting to improve collaboration
- New or evolving teams
- Cross-functional or multicultural teams
- Teams navigating change or growth
Where profiles can support learning
DISC Flow® or Clarity4D may help teams explore communication differences and working preferences. We call these Spotlight Profiles as they help to shine a light on on styles and preferences within the team.
Profiles are used to create insight, not labels.
What this training won’t be
We won’t run superficial team-building sessions that feel disconnected from real work.
Training focuses on practical behaviours that improve how teams work together day to day.
